Fully licensed and equipped camp site for tents only.  No gazebos, awnings or toilet tents.  Eight pitches.
Very quiet - noise curfew in place 22:00 to 07:30
Check in 14:00 to 18:00.  
Purpose built shower and toilet facilities with hot water included, heated bathrooms with hairdrier.
Electric hook ups available at £3 per night.
Washing up facilities.
Washing machine available at extra charge, with outdoor drier.
Outdoor stand pipe and dog wash area.
Sorry, no camp fires, barbecues or open flames on camping area.
Tents must be pitched at least 5 metres apart.
Free car parking.  Grassed areas are 'car-free'.  No vehicles permitted on grassed areas.

Camping tariff is £10 per person per night.
 
 
Pitches are exclusively for tents.
Sorry, no motorhomes, trailer tents or caravans permitted. 
All cars must be parked in the designated car park.
Sorry, chemical toilets not permitted.  
Long stay car parking available at £3 per night.  All vehicles left at owners risk.

Please note we have a noise curfew between 22:00 and 07:00 on site, so the only 'night owls' we wish to hear between these times are the tawny and barn variety which we share the site with.

Policies

Admission
Admission is only permitted after registering at Wallsend Guest House.
All guests spending the night at the campsite must present their ID at Wallsend Guest House and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures
Check in is between 14:00 and 18:00.  Check out is by 10:00
Late arrivals must notify us as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 1 hour. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your pitch.
No refunds for late arrivals or early departures.



Dogs
A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Fouling must be cleaned up immediately.  Disposal bags and bins are provided.
We do not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Conditions of Booking
These rules and conditions form the basis of our contract with you. Booking, payment or entry to the site implies acceptance of these and any other rules we may display on site.

We accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to persons or property whilst on site.
We reserve the right to refuse any pitch to any persons at our discretion. In these cases all site fees or deposits will be refunded in full and the contract discharged.

Please think of others regarding noise at all times and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am especially if returning to the campsite late evening, so as not to disturb your fellow campers and our neighbours.

If in our opinion anyone staying onsite is considered to be of unreasonable behaviour, causing annoyance or detrimental to either our interests or those of other campers or our neighbours they will be asked to leave.

Introduction 

Wallsend Wigwams are luxury ensuite cabins sleeping up to 4 people in a quiet village location.  They share the site with a camping faciltiies for tents only.   The site has a noise curfew of 22:00 to 07:00.   The site is mainly grass, with hardstanding paths, driveways and car parking areas which has a loose surface.

Pre-Arrival 

Wallsend Wigwams feature on the website www.wallsend.net which offers information about the accommodation, services and local area.  We advise pre-booking well in advance, as during the season the accommodation is very much in demand.

We are situated 7 miles from Wigton which is the nearest town offering the closest cash machines, petrol stations, shops, chemists etc.  The nearest    Accident and Emergency department is at Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle 

The nearest Shopmobility scheme is in Wigton, as is the nearest Radar toilet 

Wallsend offers full Wi-Fi access for guests.

A public bus service (Stagecoach 93) to Carlisle (15 miles away) runs through the village six days per week (not Sundays or Bank Holidays)
 
Local taxi companies operate fares to Carlisle by arrangement 

Baggage transfer companies operate regularly in the area e.g. Walkers Bags,  
Hadrian’s Haul, Sherpa

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities 

There is a free car parking area for guests on the site, surfaced in gravel/pebbles.  Cars are permitted to draw up to Wigwams to load/unload and then are parked in the designated parking area which is a maximum of 30 metres from the Wigwams. 

There is a pedestrian entrance gate and a separate vehicle access gate, which are kept closed at all times

The telephone number for the guest house is clearly visible on signage at the front of the property

There is good provision for dogs with a separate secure exercise area attached to one Wigwam which is available to book with one particular Wigwam, and a dog waste disposal point. 
 
There is external lighting on the site and on each Wigwam®

Check in and registration are at Wallsend Guest House where records will be completed and keys issued.

Check in is after 14:00 and check out by 10:00.  Other times by prior arrangement.  No admissions after 22:00.
 
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area 

All Wigwam® guests are required to complete a Registration Card on arrival.
 
Guests are introduced to the site and a Welcome Book is provided in each Wigwam with emergency procedures and site and local information
 
Tariffs are clearly displayed 

Service dogs are well provided for with food, water, shower facilities and bedding, as well as an exercise area.   
 
Public Areas 

Guests may use the business telephone on request.  There a cordless phones for ease of access.

Dogs are welcome and their welfare is well provided for 

There are no adapted toilet or bathroom facilities available 

There is an alarm point on the site connected to Wallsend Guest House for emergencies.

Fire fighting equipment and first aid kit available on site and signposted.
 
Noticeboards carry safety information, site rules and general advice.

 
The Wigwams

There is no provision for wheelchair access in the cabins.  Each cabin is off ground level and has a stepped and decked area to the front double doors with a galleried hand rail.

Each Wigwam® has a fixed double bed with memory foam mattresses, and a pull-out sofa bed with mattresses.

Each Wigwam® has an ensuite shower, toilet and washbasin, table and four chairs, panel heater, heated towel rail and kitchenette. 

There are no Wigwams adapted or suitable for wheelchair users 

There are no grab rails or hand rails for those with mobility issues in or outside the Wigwam® 

All Wigwams have Freeview satellite televisions with remote controls 




Tent pitches

The site is licensed for 8 tents.

Parking is provided adjacent to the camping area.

All pitches are level, grassed with access to water stand pipe and electric hook ups 

No camp fires or open flames, firepits or barbecues are allowed on the camping area.

The toilet and shower facilities are located in a timber building on site adjacent to the pitches.  There is laundry facilities, washing up area, fridge kettle and microwave available.

There are steps up to the timber building.

There are no adapted toilet or shower facilities for campers.

Mobile phone signals can be sporadic in the rural area around the site.  There is WiFi on the site.
