Our Wigwam® Site

The site is adjacent to Wallsend Guest House and until recently was a paddock, known locally as 'The Pickhill'.

After a three year period of consultation and planning, work began to transform the paddock into our Wigwam site in November 2013.

Land drains were installed, together with a car park area, circular drive and footpath.  The site was prepared for the Wigwams with a circuit of services, and a set of pads which the Wigwams sit on.

We took delivery of our first two Wigwams in April -  'Pickhill' and 'Acremire'.

The Barwise wigwam arrived in June and The TePee in July.   The TePee has a dog paddock attached to it - a secure fenced and gated area for your dogs to enjoy.

The site has been designed to ensure all guests enjoy the peace and quiet the area has to offer, and that privacy is maintained.

Please note that we have a Noise Curfew between 22:00 and 07:00 on site.  The only 'night owls' we want to hear between these times are the tawny and barn variety who share the site.

Vehicles park on the designated car park area and not obscure views or compromise safety.

The site has separate vehicle and pedestrian access.  There is a central communal grassed area, and each Wigwam is surrounded by its own grassed area.  Each has a raised deck area to the front up three steps from ground height with no hand rails, with outdoor seating and table.

The site is bordered by farmland with livestock in residence for most of the year.  We therefore ask that all site gates are kept closed when not in use, as we share our access with the local farmers and their animals.
