Wigwam® Reviews

Wonderful - Highly Recommended”

We booked a spontaneous overnighter for the five of us (2 adults, 2 teens and a Golden Retriever) in the luxury wigwams (pod) accommodation online with ease and efficiency.
We arrived on the Saturday evening, later than we’d indicated, but were welcomed by a very friendly Lynn and her lovable dogs. After a long car journey and as the only visitors on site, our own dog was more than delighted to be able to run freely around the secure site with a very welcoming owner’s dog. Ordinarily, when there are other guests on site, all dogs need to be kept on a lead and can't be left alone in the accommodation at any time.
Having stayed in other wigwams around the UK, we can testify that this accommodation was by far the best we have stayed in. The plot is well spaced between wigwams, offering privacy, peace and quiet and open views over the fields. There is a fully equipped kitchenette and dining area with tv, shower and toilet facilities and 2 double beds to sleep in comfortably. Bring your own towels and sleeping bags/bedding or these can be provided from the guest house for a fee.
Lynn very kindly lent us her cafetiere and torch and even recommended and made a reservation at the local Pub, the Kings Arms, for us. This turned out to be a good choice as it was stone’s throw from the wigwams and the food was fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced.
We’d ordered a packed lunch from Lynn for the next day’s walk along the Hadrian Wall’s route and the generous portions and choice of freshly made sandwiches, drinks and snacks were very much appreciated.
Whist we want to keep this place as our amazing secret find, it would be unreasonable not to share its “fabulousness”. We can only hope that a glowing review and a rush for bookings to this little haven, doesn’t make it too popular for us to re-visit in the future. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here at the start of our Hadrian's Wall walk. Whilst not cheap, this is excellent accommodation and I would recommend staying here. A warm welcome is assured, and the wigwam ( a timber lodge) is very well designed and laid out. Clean, comfortable and fun accommodation

“Wonderful wigwam and cream tea”

We stayed here after 86 miles of the Hadrian's wall walk. The best cream tea, friendly hosts and the best nights sleep surrounded by countryside and the dawn chorus. Played ball with the beautiful collies before making our way home.

The only thing connected to Wigwams aka tents is the Totem pole on the newly turfed field where our accommodation was situated, beautifully laid out. The Wigwams are really wooden cabins, warm cosy, very well appointed with all you need, beds incredible - memory foam mattresses, had the best nights sleep and woke to only the sounds of birds. Incredible hospitality in the "Big House" Many thanks to Lyn

Wigwam was wonderful and .... Wow!”

Last night of our Hadrians wall walk. We had booked to stay in a wigwam and we were excited. It did not disappoint. It was amazing. Our own space, power shower, kitchen facilities and TV in a wigwam. We loved the experience, relaxing with a coffee in the morning on our deck. Lyn was very welcoming and our whole experience was fab. Thank you
